Neat high tech phone with powerful capability

I see some reviewers mentioned bugs, but I think they may be outdated. Our system works perfectly (purchased in May 2011). We searched for a less cluttered phone system for our office and kept coming back to this system. Nothing else let us install a single base, make up to 4 simultaneous calls, and connect up to 9 cordless (YES!) handsets. We really didn't want to run a bunch of wire everywhere, and we love the ability to walk around our office and put our hands on files, products, etc.We ordered this system on Amazon. Once it arrived, our VOIP service (great company called voisip) was able to log in remotely and program everything in a few minutes.Units are small, but not too small. They really help clean up desk space. Battery life has been very good and call quality is really surprising. I didn't realize how good the calls sounded until I went to use my cell phone later that day. Wow, I'm spoiled for anything less.I had a hard time figuring out how to use the speakerphone on the handset, but finally realized there is a dedicated button on the side. Works great.My only complaint is that the screen is a bit small, but I guess this isn't meant to be a smartphone. Maybe next generation.

Firmware is so buggy, makes phones unusable

Based on previous experience (quite positive) with Snom, I was waiting for availability of the M9 in the US. It took Snom almost a year to release this model here. Unfortunately, that time was not enough for Snom to create a working unit. Upon receipt, I updated the firmware to the newest, as suggested in the manual.... and it killed the whole thing. Base looses contact with phones every 10 seconds. Search on the internet revealed, that it is a common issue with the firmware version 9.2.54 (released 0n Feb 01, 2011). The bugs are obvious -- but Snom did nothing to fix them for two and a half months! They still have the non-working firmware on their web site, and not a word on how to fix the problem.Bottom line -- do not waste your money. Company is incapable to deliver a working system.

Good SIP phone for business

The SNOM M9, IP Phone Complete Set 2 handsets, is a very good fit in any business VOIP phone system. Configuration was easy, battery talk time amazing and the design style compliment any executive desk. We purchase the cordless system in June 2011. Our Syspine IP PBX system work great with these phones, setup was quick and simple. Added features that was a big hit with our team was the RSS feeds you can setup. Read some mix reviews in the past but found with the latest firmware upgrade if not all, most issues in past reviews were resolved. Firmware upgrade is a snap! Would purchase addition headsets. The vendor mix up our order by sending the wrong item, but a quick phone called it was resolved and deliver the next business day. They supply a RMA to return the other item. Customer service, 3 1/2 stars out of five.
