VTech Phone
By Ted T.
The phone arrived in plenty of time for Christmas. It was just what we wanted with intercom and Push to Talk so we can talk to each other when we are on different floors of the house without yelling. It also allows for the directory to be set up on one phone and shared with all of the others. The phones are comfortable and the answering machine and features were easy to set up.I am very satisfied with these phones.

Disappointed
By heavydude
I've had my previous VTech cordless set for almost 6 years (2 handsets). The system worked very well although it needed a separate answering machine. It was easy to use one of the handsets out in my workshop which is about 150' away from my house. It also had the convenience of a headset jack. In the last couple of months, the phone developed a hum that came and went so I figured it's time to treat myself to a new system.I checked the reviews of VTech, Panasonic, Uniden, and ATT. I found the reviews to be pretty much a toss up so I went with the VTech having had satisfaction with the previous system.Knowing this one didn't have a headset jack I planned on using the speaker. The good points:1 - It was only $69 at Sam's Club.2 - Set up was rather easy.3 - The digital answering system works fine. The bad points:1 - Handsets are small and chintsy. Feels like they wouldn't be hard to break.2 - The display is poorly lit. Blue letters and numbers against a slightly lighter shade of blue background makes them almost invisible. As you dial a number, the numbers are scrunched together and unreadable.3 - The keys are small and flat with no separation between them and smaller than my fingertips so it felt like I was pressing two keys at the same time.4 - When using the speaker I had to hold the handset to hear the person on the other end. If I put the handset down on the desk, the volume was two low. Others have commented on this so it's not just me.5 - Proprietary batteries. Didn't see that coming since the old VTech system used AAA batteries which are cheap and plentiful, even the rechargeable ones. This goes back to the store.

Great Phones!
By summers
I ordered these phones after hours of research, and I'm glad I did. The delivery was super fast! I love the walkie-talkie type feature...it allows you to hold down a side button and speak into the phone like a walkie talkie, communicating back and forth with other handsets. The style is great, and I reccommend to all, great phones, great features! No problems!
