Great Phone - Batteries are an issue
By openheimer
I have the base unit and 4 handsets. You may expect 2 years out of the batteries before " Handset Can't find base" we troubleshot this issue and found it to be battery related. The Batteries are $5-$10. Other than that, It has a ton of features I will never use, clear and loud voice calling and decent paging and answer machine.

Best phone I've ever owned
By silvercherry
I have had the base and 3 handsets since 2004. I've never had any issues with the base or the handsets. The batteries are JUST NOW losing a little bit of power after 9 years: the phone dies with about an hour of talk time. I am currently in a 3000sf house that includes a basement. The base is in the furthest corner of the house in the basement and have never had a single call dropped.

set on a shelf too long
By Paps
This is an older phone, but a good one and I wanted to expand my handsets. Problem is that these set on the shelf for years, so the batteries would not hold a charge and I had to replace them locally. I ordered two, so had to spend $25 on replacement batteries. Also I noticed a few days later that the speakerphone/ringer didn't work on one of them. Recommend passing and moving to DECT 6 technology and not using this dated product.
