Best for the price

I've been using them about 2 monthes with no problems. Sound quality is excellent. Range is great, I have one extension in a detached brick garage. I don't know about battery life, I usually place receivers back on chargers when not in use. I would have liked a larger phone book, but at this price I won't ding them for that. I don't know why one review says you can't conference, we do it all the time. The handsets are comfortable to use (I hate the flat ones). I don't use the answering system since we have voicemail from our provider. All in all, I'm very satisfied.

Satisfied in Every Way. Ringer Even Plays Xmas Tune!

Bought this set to replace V-tech units which were always running with warm batteries. The V-tech painted numbers on the buttons began wearing away early in the life of the set. And the V-tech units were constructed with slippery plastics which were not comfortable in the hand.Uniden is a vast improvement. The unit and buttons have a nice, tactile feel and some raised ridges which helps the unit fit securely and comfortably in the hand. Connectivity is good for our smaller, but thick-walled, home. Programming is straight forward and global (i.e.: program one handset with quick-dial numbers and all handsets are programmed!). And the ringer has musical selections including: "We Wish You a Merry Xmas" and Beethoven's "Ode to Joy: Ninth Symphony".So far so good. Haven't used the answering machine as we don't need it with the voice-mail service provided by our phone company .... so can't comment on it.

I have no regrets purchasing this phone set. It was delivered on time and the system works perfectly. Great prices too... was a real bargain for exceptional quality and functionality.
