Do Not Be Fooled - Only Slightly Less Radiation!!!!

As I study the subject of EMF pollution and dirty electricity, and I also have a $450 Acoustimeter which measures RF and MW radiation, this phone got subjected to a test! I was looking forward to receiving it. Having dumped my last cordless phone after measuring it on the meter and finding it was very toxic in its radiation of radio frequency / microwave radiation, I was anxious to try this new "Eco-DECT" technology by Siemens. I bought this phone based upon what the person at Siemens told me, that the phone "did not give off any radiation when it was placed in the base station / handset. That sounded good to me! Well I received the phone, set it up and measured its radiation on my Acoustimeter. Yes, at about 4 feet away, the radiation was definitely less than other cordless phones. So yes, this phone is a bit better and less toxic than most cordless phones. However, at only 2 feet and less from the phone it definitely has a strong output, and anyone who is electro-sensitive would not appreciate this at all. So no, this phone is not radiation free. Yes, it is an improvement over most all other cordless phones relatively speaking. Also I wished the volume went up higher when speaking using the speakerphone.

Just okay...

This phone looks nice. It functions okay, although my husband hates it. He complains that every time he goes to use it he feels like he can never get a dial tone. I have noticed that I myself always hit the hangup button first when I pick it up and then it seems to give me no problems. What bothers me is the intermittent "tocking" noise this phone emits periodically. Randomly throughout the day it will do this "tock-tock-tock" always three times. It was so annoying that I had to remove the second handset from our bedroom because it was waking me up at night. I have not idea why it makes that noise.
