Awesome blocker
By John K.
3-16-2013:I don't know about you,but I hate telemarketers..lowest form of human beings. They call night time, day time, weekends, they don't care..Do Not Call lists,FCC complaints online, they do not work.I have had this blocker for 2 months and I love it...Yes I agree with others, the instructions are not the best. When I tested the blocker with my number,I heard one ring through my phone, then a sharp disconnection.no message,no announcement. One of the best features,is when scrolling through the history of incoming calls, you see the phone numbers that were blocked, with a pad lock sign next to them.Oh ya now that feels good.So far,it has blocked over 50 times about 20 different numbers. Also unlike some phones or phone companies who offer only up to 50 number blocking option, this thing can block over a thousand.Five star all the way, even with the hard to figure out instructions and all lol.Update 4-3-2013:I have U-verse voice and I have this blocker hooked up in series..my phone does not ring at all when a blocked number calls. In three months I have 65 numbers on my blacklist..If you are thinking about getting a call blocking telephone, just be aware that even the best ones, might have a maximum 60 number blocking capacity..In three to six months, you would be maxing it out.Update 4-21-2013:Even though I have, the anonymous call blocker feature through AT&T Uverse(with this feature,Private,Unknown and Blocked Caller IDs with no phone numbers, should not be able to get through),some Private calls(not all),were still coming through.AT&T is aware of this problem and whenever I called, they tried to fix it..A couple of days later, the useless telemarketers, were able however to figure out how to defeat that feature.Once I got sick and tired of getting Private calls with no numbers,I remembered that this version of the Problocker 2.0 has the Private number blocking feature..that feature is turned off from the factory..I pushed set on the blocker and dialed 6 from my phone and that's it....now the legitimate callers will still get the message to unblock their phone number to get through and the scum bags will be just dropped. This blocker does have some minor issues, for example every other day,the time and sometimes even the date is off slightly..I personally dont care about these very minor problems..Cant wait for version 3.0 LOL.I get 2 to 3 calls MAX a day now..where as before I was getting 10 and sometimes up to 15 calls from the useless criminals and the blocker has 110 blacklist numbers now.....over a 1000 to go LOL.Update 5-19-2013:5 total unwanted calls this whole week and they were all successfully blocked...very happy with this blocker.Update 7-19-2013:The telemarketers are at it again..My blacklist now has 130 numbers..very happy with the blocker.

Jury will be out
By John in WV
As soon as I got the directions out and started to read them I knew this would take a bit of work. They were very vague at best. They refer to up/down buttons. They are left/right buttons. However I did figure it out by experimenting. If it works I will change the star rating. It did block a few calls on the #'s I put in, so it does seem to work. I hope it blocks the prefix #'s (888, 866, 855 etc. ).I think I programmed them in. I think. Like I said the directions kind of suck. Keep in mind it will only stop the phone it is hooked up with from ringing, any other phone in the house will still ring 1 time. I will change the star rating up or down after I test out this baby. Stay tuned. After about a week I changed the rating to 4 stars. It seems to work well. It has made the house much quieter. I still think the directions could be a whole lot better. It is amazing the tenacity of the marketers. If their number is blocked they just keep changing the number they call on by one digit. I will probably need the 1500 number capacity at this rate.

Not working
By LRM
Have attempted several tests from my cell phone to my home number, and it's not picking up the number at all. I was able to set up the correct date and time, as well as changing the year as described so it's receiving a signal from the phone which is an outgoing signal. However, not able to setup a new Pass Code. Instructions say to enter new pass code when "INPUT" appears in the display; well, I'm not getting INPUT at all on the display.I used the instructions from the hqtelecom.com as they have been edited and contain more detail. So far, I'm not at all pleased. Very disappointed.UPDATE: This item does not work on an analog signal. Best to check with your phone company to verify your phone signal before purchasing. If you live in a rural community; most likely you have analog.
