Phones are easy to knock over

The voice quality of the handsets are great. They were easy to set up. I was very disappointed to discover that there was no "answering machine" function on the main set. I certainly did not catch that in the advertisement. The other disappointment is the bases that the handsets rest in are way too light. They can be knocked over very very easily. This is our third Panasonic set we have purchased in the last 15 or so years----seems like we paid lots more for poorer quality this time.

Great phone system

Perfect phone system for home office. I use this with VOIPo service which comes with both phone ports active to same number. This system allows me to carry a call and if another comes in or I need to make one out I can switch to the other line. I am also able to conference both calls together. If both lines are in use and another call comes in we are able to see the call (call waiting) on both lines. Battery life is fantastic. I have been on conference calls for over 10 hours and used only one handset and still had 1/4 of battery left. Panasonc has really produced a great phone system in both 1 or 2 line systems. I have had both.

No recorder for messages.

I bought this device since I was converting to Ooma and had read that these worked well with it for voicemail--specifically, that a Ooma voicemail would be indicated on the phone as opposed to having to use the phone's voicemail. Coming off of another Panasonic cordless phone set, this one has less capability (only two possible ring tones...) but works well and has very good audio. One quibble is that the talk and off buttons are chrome with white text labels over top--perhaps the most ridiculous color choice and button treatment possible.The phones do indeed work well with Ooma's voicemail system and other than the button treatment, fit my needs well.
