Works great and the Price is Right!

Works great and the Price is Right! The Panasonic KX-TG4013N set is a Recommended Buy if you're looking for a reasonably priced cordless phone set. Have been using the set as soon as it arrived from Amazon. Calls are loud and clear. System setup is easy - just follow the manual. Only needed One working phone jack to drive the complete set. The Panasonic KX-TG4013N set replaced an old 2.4GHz two-handset system which was prone to interference and signal strength problems from nearby PC's and Wireless LAN access point. Have found my WLAN transmission has also improved. Now I have three handsets for added convenience. They also serve as an in-house intercom and speakerphone(s) for added versatility. I had no need for an answering system base -- I have a separate digital answering machine that continues to work great! ***Message for Amazon -- remove all references to accessory headsets -- the phone handsets do NOT have headset jacks, and customers will be Misled into thinking they can attach a handset. No Headset Jack

This phone does not allow its use with a headset. No where on the Amazon description does it mention "no headset jack". In fact quite to the contrary, it suggests that headsets are an option. For example, it shows a headset as "Frequently bought together". Also later in the description, it states: "Additional Features: Consider a Panasonic headset connecting your conversation to the handset of any of our phone systems". For me, the lack of headset capability considerably limits this phone's usability.

Cordless phone review

These are great portable phones. I have them hooked up in my barn and they work well at considerable distance from the base. The belt clip is very useful as I use it to clip the phone to my shirt collar during calls and can continue my conversation while continuing to work.I am still learning the many features but the start up was simple, plug em in charge em overnight and they were ready to go.For the time being they have met all of my expectations; good sound quality on both ends, loud ringer, light weight and easy to program. However the jury is still out, not sure how they will work in the dead of winter, time will tell.
