3It lets me call people...
By Hellann
We bought this phone system about a year ago.Pros: The handsets charge well and hold a charge for days. A big improvement over our previously owned Uniden system. Looks and weight of the handset.Cons: Extra button pushing to delete old messages. Non-intuitive menus. Caller Id phone number rolls and flashes by too quickly. Makes it hard to jot a number down.WORST: People constantly complain that they can't hear us! It doesn't matter which handset we use, how loud we talk or how close to the receiver we are. Poor sound on the other side. I don't have this problem on my cell phone, public phones, friend's phones... I wanted to like this phone, but I don't. Expensive mistake. I am looking for a new system, even though this one technically shouldn't be done yet. =(

5Review for the Panasonic KX-TG1063PK Telephone
By Katherine
I purchased this phone about 2 weeks ago. I found its sound clarity and volume to be good for the base, handsets and answering machine. Its batteries are standard AAA, NiMH, 550mWh types, not the usual proprietary ones, which is nice of Panasonic. The phone has an alarm feature, which I haven't used. Answering machine has 18 minutes of total caller time and up to 3 minutes of individual caller time. The displays on base and handsets are well lighted and with large print. The on call help person (once you got through the recording) was courteous and knowledgeable when I had to call to ask how to retrieve all of its phone book entries. The number buttons will only retrieve one phone book entry per alphabetical on each key, ie: one entry for A, one for B and one for C, using the number 2 on the phone's key pad. To get to the rest of the listings under A, for instance, a person then has to shift to the scroll button. The manual could be a bit clearer on that, but though it does require that one extra step, it all works out ok, once one knows about this. There are up to 100 internal phone book entries possible for each individual handset and the base. The base can copy its entries to each handset individually. Even though the base doesn't have battery backup, its phone book entries are apparently kept on a chip, so are safely retained if power goes off. The handbook is written in clear English. If you've programed other phones with similar features, or have reasonable ability understanding manual instructions, you should do ok. I haven't come across anything that I dislike about the phone. If you're considering the phone, you could call the 1-800-211-7262 Panasonic help number as I did, to ask questions about it.

4Awesome phones - work great!
By Doberman_Fan
I had a Panasonic (KX-TG5240) prior to this with good results. I still use the main unit of my old set because it announces verbally the caller ID; unfortunately, the new model does not announce the caller. Other than not announcing calls & the addition of a corded phone to the base unit, I like everything else better about this new unit versus the older one. One great feature is you can block up to 10 phone numbers; a great way to get rid of telemarketers. I also like the way you can program phone numbers into only one phone & it then automatically programs all the others for you.
