Terrible Phone! Awful

This is the worst phone you can buy!!!The hand set is "searching" most of the time and while in that mode you cannot make or receive any call.The volume is terribly low no matter how much you crank it.Forget the so called Bluetooth technology, this is the main reason I purchased this phone!! You may think this will let you pair the phone with a bluetooth headset (like the Plantronics Voyager PRO Bluetooth Headset - Excellent product by the way) not quite!! This only means you can pair your cell phone with this phone and anytime it rings your cell phone will ring! Are you kidding me!! You can do this with call forwarding from a ten dollar phone, and call forward is much better since you can control when to forward and when not to, whereas if you pair this phone with your cell, your cell will ring whenever the phone rings (unless you unpair it).Buying this phone is a real waste of money and time (to reset you may have to unplug it for 20mn)! I had other products from Motorola that are really good quality, but this phone is such low grade it makes me wonder why do they use resources to make a piece of junk like this, and not allocate those resources to better projects.This phone is terrible! AwfulI highly recommend the Panasonic KX-TG6513B DECT 6.0 What a phone!!!! The features will blow your mind I have 3 handsets, it allowed me to set the handset in my bedroom to not ring from such time to such time, the one in my office to stop ringing after 10:00 PM and one in the in the living room after midnight. If you have a caller Id it spells out loud the calling number so that when you are away from your phone you can tell who is calling. It allows you to block unwanted numbers so that the person or business will never be able to reach you from that number again... these are just few great features it have many more like intercom etc....

Read description before buying anything!

Wow! I'm shocked by all the bad reviews! I think a lot of them have to do with people not reading the product description or just not understanding it. No, you can't pair your bluetooth headset to it and use it like you do with a cell phone. It's used to pair your cellphone to it so you can use the landline with your cellular service. (It even has a picture right on the box depicting that!) You dont even have to have home phone service to use this feature, but you do have to keep your cellphone within a 10ft radius or so of the base unit to use the bluetooth feature, but thats not a problem in my home. Using this feature has greatly increased the quality of my cellphone calls as i dont get the best reception using my cellphone from my home. This is the main reason I bought this phone and I am glad I did. Once your pair the cellphone to it and you get a call on your cellphone, you have the option of answering the call from your cell or your landline. You set up the ringers so when the landline rings, you will know if someone is calling your home phone or your cell phone and the caller I.D. Info will be displayed on both landline & cell. This is a great feature if most of your calls come to your cellphone and you want better reception & call quality. The buttons are normal buttons like you'd find on any phone. The volume button works just fine and the volume is good. The menu is easy to navigate, set up was a cinch, I don't know what all the complaints are about! If you're looking for a bunch of fancy features like caller I.D. announcement or setting times to have your ringer on and off at certain times, then this is not the phone for you. If you are looking for a quality phone with all the "normal" features, easy to use and set up, AND the added bonus of pairing up to 2 cell phones to it, and at a very reasonable price, then this phone will be a good choice.

Clumsy buttons - dialing into teleconference calls is a pain

Could just be a defect of my phone but when using the handset, the buttons seem to be very indistinct. I use the cordless handset for teleconference calls and 80% of the times, I have to dial and redial my conference codes for the phone to get it right. For example, I'll dial the buttons for 1234567899 but my conferencing center will say, sorry you dialed 223457799. So frustrating!
