Decent speakers for the price point, and cool look but...

I bought the same type of speakers a while back, and figured I'd throw my two cents in about them.First of all, the sound on these are surprisingly good. My first thought was $30 speakers, flashy colors, can't expect much. But when you compare that any regular set of speakers from Best Buy or wherever around the same price has about the same sound quality, the colored lights just turn into a cool bonus. The size and shape make the speakers convenient for small desks, and when the excitement of the lights isn't a thing for you anymore, they are also nicely sized to just tuck behind your monitor.There is one thing specifically that I had to knock a star off for: the sound that the motor (or whatever it is that makes the water jump to the music) makes while the speakers are on. Here's what I mean; When music is playing the water jets bounce up to the beats, which is great at first but after a while you start to hone in on that little noise in the background, constantly shooting the water up. It is so sensitive that even when there is no music playing, a small noise near the speakers will make the water jump, causing that noise (tapping on my desk for example). It is exceptionally frustrating if you are one of those people who notices little details in things, because once you hear it you can't forget it's there.Other than that, I would recommend these if you need something cheap and outside the box. These speakers are just to cool. The colors bounce to the beat. I turn off the lights and watch them in the dark and it's even more entertaining.
