3Works, but is very quiet
By A Customer
This headset *will* work for SOCOM on the PS2, however be aware that the microphone does not pick up sound well. Your voice will come across very quiet during gameplay. You can still be heard, but be prepared for other people asking you to "...move the mic closer to your mouth" (this after having the mic a few centimeters from my mouth). A suitable replacement, but diehard SOCOM players may want to wait for the Logitech set.

5Great Headset
By Hayato Iriumi
I use Skype to talk not only to my colleagues all over the United States and also to my parents in Japan. I like this USB headset so much that I am ordering it again. Not because it's broken, but because I want one for my home use.

What's good about this headset is that it goes into USB interface instead of speaker interface. If you have a speaker already, you'd have to unplug it and hook the headset in if the headset uses normal speaker interface. But for USB, that's not a problem. Even after using long hours, your ears won't hurt. Stereo one covers your ears too hard that my colleagues complain that their ears hurt.

So far, it never went bad or anything. The quality of the product is pretty good. Now that Skype is offering this feature that allows you to call all over the world with a minimal fee, I am getting one for my home!

5Works for SOCOM
By A Customer
I had no problems with it working for SOCOM. The volume button is actually for your voice and not for the headset. I was told that I was very quiet, but when I turned up the volume, it worked like a charm.
