This device was designed to block ringing of incoming calls that you do not want to answer. In Black list mode, this incoming phone blocker will block undesirable incoming calls from up to 120 specific telephone numbers or entire area codes. In White list mode, it will only ring your phone(s) for specified phone(s) numbers or area codes, as programmed. Note: This unit requires Caller ID service active from your phone company.

Works Great, better than advertised in fact.

Just finished installing a little chinese looking device- never thought it would work- its does- perfectly.I am running the device in "whitelist" mode + google voice to let me block all calls not going through my google voice number.If you call my home number and not my google voice number (i.e. not on the whitelist)- my phones will show your number via CID, but dont ring (thats magical)- you will hear silence, then be hung up on.-however-If you call via my google voice number the device will accept my google voice CID string and ring all my phones- perfect.Tele-markets can suck on it now.Its funny two think there are really only two devices on the market that will let you whitelist inbound calls on a POTS line.This little device is now chillin in my alarm panel between the panel and my home phone loopThere also appears to be a fax detector circuit that may or may not automatically send fax calls to a fax port- have not tested this.

Paid for itself many times over.

We used to lose from $2000 to $5000 a year with phone scams on our mother. After researching these units I bought it and set up a "white" list.If you don't know, a black list says what numbers cannot call you, but a white list says who is allowed to call you.Anyway, I set up a list of friends and family members as well as some local area codes that are allowed. No on else can get through. NO MORE SCAMS! No more out of state and out of country calls to rip off my elderly mother! I cannot say enough good things about this product. Thanks HQtelecom

Blacklist/whitelist call blocker

Not user friendly to set up and limited in options to revise call list. But. it's the only game in town for this type of service and it does what it's supposed to. A good option for elderly who can become easy victims to phone "fishing" con artists.
