Fantastic Product!

I just installed and tested the Freedom Alert system for my 89 year young mother. The unit was very simple to set up and program. After the installation, I tested the unit by pressing the blue button on the pendant to start the calling process. The first number I programed into the unit was my sister, because she lives next door to my mother. When my sister answered the phone I was amazed at the clarity and volume of sound that came through the little Freedom Alert pendant. My sister said the volume and clarity she was hearing from the pendant was also very good.This is the only unit I found that the caller could actually communicate through the pendant. Most units are mounted on a wall and the speaker and microphone are built into that unit and there are no speakers or microphone in their pendants. Therefore, if the caller is not within hearing range of the base unit, they cannot communicate with the monitoring service. I would highly recommend the Freedom Alert System to anyone. It is a great system and there are no monthly monitoring fees.

Freedom Alert 911 Review

The Freedom Alert 911 arrived quickly and was well packaged. The set-up instructions were fairly clear and inputting numbers was quite simple. This unit was purchased for my mother-in-law who, though she still lives alone, gets confused quite easily. The number of delays and beeps before dialing outbound numbers had her pushing buttons, trying to talk to the machine, and generally completely bewildered. While the unit would probably work well for someone with only physical aging limitations (hip replacement, fragile bones, lack of balance, etc.), it was not appropriate for our situation. Although it will be costlier in the long run, we'll be looking at the services where a knowledgeable person is immediately available to discuss any emergency situation, assess it, and make the appropriate follow-up call.

Security For A Senior Friend

My friend is 85 years old and is in quite good health; however, she has taken a couple of spills in her home. Thankfully they were not serious. As she lives alone she needed a way to call for help if she couldn't get to the telephone. Our neighbors check with her frequently and her children are wonderful in their caring for her. With this device she now knows that if she needs help she can get it with just the push of a button. As her friend it makes me very happy and her children are very pleased that their mother now has this assistant.
