GE wall phone

I purchased this phone because of its profile. I wanted a phone that would go flat against the wall. Most other phones seem to be suited for the counter not the wall. With my old one, I inadvertently knocked it off the wall a number of times.This phone was easy to set up; it even comes with voice instructions. The luminescent readout was large and easy to see. I was surprised that it also keeps the date as well the time on the screen. I have not used the answering machine so I can't comment on it.I consider this phone a great value for the price.

Too much static

I was so dissappointed - I bought this for my husband who wanted a cool, sleek phone for the house. It does look awesome, but there is so much static on the line that I don't even want to use it. I was forwarned about this - that the GE 6.0 phones had static issues, but I thought my phone would be different. I was wrong. Beautiful phone, but now basically just for decoration.

Good phone

I got this phone for my mother-in-law. She wanted a new cordless with caller ID and and answer machine all-in-one. She really likes it but I am not that impressed with it. It's fine and it works well but the display is very small on the phone itself. Sound quality was good but not great. We also found out that it only has 1 ringtone. The directions come on a large sheet of paper like a road map, so when setting up the phone you have to unfurl the large piece of paper and find the section you are working on. A booklet format would be easier to work with. For the price we paid, it was a great deal and value but there are probably better phones out there. In the end she loves the phone and I am her favorite son-in-law for finding her a phone/ID/answer for $24.
