Back to the basics.

Do you ever yearn for the simpler times, when you could pick up real phone that did not take pictures, store calender dates, or other totally unrelated things? If you are a straight forward person that likes to hear a real telephone ring, and pick it up and talk, this is for you. No hiding behind caller ID, dodging people by having them leave a message, or replacing batteries. This is a John Wayne phone. A mans phone. It rings. Loud. You answer, not knowing who is on the other end of the line, but you don't care. You are fearless, and you will talk to whoever is calling. If you don't want to talk to the person, tell him and hang up. Don't be a wuss. This phone is not for wusses. It is solid, good clear sound, and you could knock someone out with the handset if they came across your desk. The hell with calling security, bean 'em with this excellent phone!

Good but not so good

I ordered this phone because of it's color (black) and it had bell instead buzzer. I also order ITT ITT-2500-VOE 250044-VOE-20MC - Desk Phone A. Comparing this two phone with same price. I discover that they shipped from different location and they arrived in different time. This phone's dial button is harder to push compare to ITT phone which has really nice button touch. This phone has bell sound but it is not same as old rotary phone bells.Don't get disappointed. Other than that, this is a good phone. I enjoy using it. And sound quality is good.

Its great for the money but not like the old phones.

The ringer volume did not work so i took the top off and cut the wire to the large bell. Its really loud when its on loud but I have no way of telling what its supposed to sound like on low becuase it didnt work. Its sounds right with just the smaller bell working. Not a bad phone and pretty good for the money, just nothing like the old phones inside. I bought an original rotary from a site online and its built like a rock btw.UPDATE: It completly failed 1 year from when I bought it. Its now in the landfill, as is the money i paid for it. Thanks China!
