AMAZING

I am hard of hearing.....but with this product I don't havae to worry anymore about missing my telephone calls.I ordered this item tru Amazon and received them soonerthan I thought. The best way to install this (according to my ears) is to put the Volume on high and the Toneon the lowest point. Just beautiful...thanks a lot.

Just what we needed

I purchased this product for my 85 year old mother. She was having difficulty hearing the phone ring epecially when the TV was on, etc. She doesn't have a problem hearing through the handset once she answers, so she didn't need a whole new phone. This ringer was the perfect solution! Very easy to connect (she has a table phone not a wall mount) and we adjusted the volume and tone to the perfect pitch for her. The price is reasonable and delivery was exceptional...it arrived one day after I ordered it!

Clarity SR100 Telephone Ringer

It's easy to install- just unplug the existing phone, plug this into the wall, and plug the existing phone into the SR100. Call yourself from a cell phone and adjust the loudness and pitch for the hearing impaired person.I would say that for someone with severe hearing impairment, it might not be loud enough. I (with normal hearing) did not find it obnoxiously loud, even when next to it. However, it is definitely louder than a normal phone. It was purchased for putting next to the bed of someone who sleeps without hearing aids and who never heard the phone - and they now hear the phone!It will work with a cordless phone, but bear in mind that it will physically be where it is plugged into a phone jack. In other words, if someone is walking around with the phone and they are far from the the SR100, it won't make much difference. However,you could put the SR100 any place there's a phone jack- it doesn't need to be near a phone. So you could sprinkle 2 or 3 of these around a house.If I could improve the product, I would add a flashing light to it.At least on initial use, it's great!Purchased August 2012.
