This is a very good cordless phone

I've noticed bad reviews on this Clarity phone. Despite the reviews I took a chance and purchased....and am glad I did so. I hear well with it....the calls are very clear and loud. I've had several cordless phones and this is the best one yet for my hearing problem. We all need to take note that incoming calls come in from various sources...cell phones, blue tooth, computer generated calls and land-line, etc. And land-line calls are not always great these days. Even people with excellent hearing have trouble with some calls. We all hear differently but this one works for me.

Upon installation, the handsets began beeping periodically. Voice transmission is interrupted when the beeping occurs. Our engineer son determined that the base unit is defective or sends a very weak signal, causing the beeping. The manufacturer is not honoring its warranty and will not replace the unit. Avoid this product! The amplification is not much better than a standard wireless telephone system and the keypad attracts dirt and is hard to keep clean.

Not what my mom had hoped

My mom returned this model. She needed the highest volume setting (40dB) do be on at all times, but she had to push the boost button each time she used the phone (it reset itself to the lower volume). Also, the speaker function did not work when the handset was in the cradle. And the speaker and microphone are on opposite sides of the handset, making it hard to hear and be heard at the same time when on speaker. My mom is going to try to find another model with higher volume as the default setting and a speaker phone that is hands-free.
