Pretty good phone - if you're willing to replace firmware

I got the phone for a pretty low price. Bargain sale because it's an old model. First thing I noticed, was that it DID NOT come with a power cord. But the item description never said that it did come with a power cord, so I guess that's not misleading. Once I bought the special power cord, I noticed that the phone does not do SIP out of the box. After hours of searching online, I finally found firmware for the phone that did SIP. Loading it via tftp worked the first time, and wasn't too hard for me. Just frustrating.Overall, the experience was rewarding. Now that it's got the (hard-to-find) SIP firmware installed, it seems to be a pretty good SIP phone. It keeps forgetting the volume setting, though... which makes it ring pretty loudly every time. Not sure it's actually possible to set ringer volume, etc. I haven't done anything fancy like 3-way calling, call hold, call transfer, etc., but it does what I need it to do: SIP calls.I would like to warn that the firmware is extremely hard to find, even via web search. I happened to find a forum somewhere that had a link to an ftp site that had it, but it's not immediatley obvious. And I work in IT.
