There is an amplifier button in the hand set that is quite handy. Should have come with a short wall cord.

it's a phone all right....

but that's about it. fills a space that would be ugly without it. now it is a little better than ugly. better than nothing, but i thought i'd be a little more impressed.

Really like this phone!

I was looking for a phone to cover an old wall plate that has just been empty in our family room for quite some time. I really like the old fashioned ringer (almost had forgotten what that real bell sounded like) and the light on the phone is neat. We have had several friends admire the phone since we put it up - installation took seconds! - and we are very pleased.
