We got the phone for my five and a half year old daughter as her first phone. It is adorable and works very well. She loves it. The only negative is that I do wish the phone was cordless. Otherwise, it is great!

Love it great value one of her top christmas presents

I looked long and hard at other options mainly looking for a simple pink cordless phone (not necessarily a barbie themed one) . I finally decided at age 5 having the cord might be a plus so she wasn't forever losing it. Also the price was very very right!This phone has called every person she knows today, the quality of her voice and others is perfect. We have had zero connection problems. She's thrilled with the lightup flower when it rings.She also loves the BARBIE ringtone/song her and her brother played it dancing about 50x before I put the thing in her room far away from me. As one reviewer stated it does sound like it's saying a cuss word in the song which surprised me that they didn't catch that before they made it, but the kids didn't notice.I would highly recommend this for any 5-6 year old not sure about older but she's absolutely tickled with it and she got a digital camera, a dsi, a real vanity, jewelry etc this has been played with as much as everything else if not more.

Does not hang up on the cradle

This is an adorably cute phone.Unfortunately, it does not hang up on the cradle, one end is always overlapping and keeping the phone from hanging up.
