I used to sell the X-Blue X-16

I used to sell the X-Blue X16 but Amazon is selling the packages at $57 over my cost with free shipping so there is no reason for me to stock them. I'm happy to get the labor to put them in.The one thing you have to do BEFORE you hook up the dial tones is to go into the voicemail and turn on ALL RING so the auto attendant doesn't pick up before you hear the phone ring. It is easy to do but you don't want your callers to hear the voicemail before you learn how to program it.It is very simple to program; if you can program a 4 line AT&T phone from their little instruction book, you can program the X-16. It is really great in that it can do 6 lines which a lot of small businesses really need and it only takes ONE pair of wire to hook up the phones so if you are in a home that is wire poor and you can't run more wire, you can actually put four different extensions one ONE pair of wires. Four people can be talking on four different dial tones on four extensions at the same time on that one pair of wires.Realistically speaking you are probably going to need someone who has some knowledge of phone work IF your dial tones are not coming out of regular plug in jacks but are on punch down blocks from the phone company. If your dial tones are on jacks and you can run long cords to all the phones, then you don't need a phone technician to install this.My experience with the X-16 system is that the system and the phones are very, very durable and the people at the company are as kind and polite and helpful as you can find and that comes from years and years of dealing with them, not just an advertisement, they really are great people with a great product.In all honesty, I don't know of any less expensive product that is this durable, that has voicemail, that is this easy to program and has a good company behind it. I'd sell it myself but at Amazon's price, I can't make any money.Thanks, Bunnie Meyer

XBlue X16 is a Great System

Having found ourselves in the postion to replace a phone system that we had for over 20 years, we were finding that there wasn't much choice for a small business at a resaonable price. We finally purchased a cordless system by a big name phone service provider. Boy was that a mistake! Nothing but trouble from day one. Batteries that wouldn't charge, dropped calls, customers lost on hold, mysterious ring backs on the base after making outgoing calls and the voice mail system was pathetic and I won't even go into the ridiculous customer service. Finally when I couldn't take it anymore I luckily happened upon the XBlue System. I contacted their customer service and was repsonded to almost immediately. We decided to return the cordless system and give XBlue a try. Best move we ever made. The X16 is simple to set up, simple to program and works great!!!! We purchased the 8 phone system and within two days already decided to expand and ordered two more. Not only is the system great but the customer service and technical support are prompt at returning calls and emails, but the product is outstanding. I highly recommend this system.

These phones promise easy installation and feature rich smooth operation. As standard office phones with no bells and whistles they seem to work, but once you begin using the "features" things break quickly. We've been working with XBlue's tech support for a few months trying to get our system to function as advertised. They've been nice to work with - even sending us an entire replacement system free of charge to replace ours. We've tried beta unreleased to the public firmware, patches, everything to get this system to work, but nothing seems to get the job done. Now we're out of Amazon's return policy and it'll be a battle to get money back for a system that never worked right.One of the major problems is with the system's auto attendant feature - apparently this has a problem where if the end user selects an option that is not available, the system gets stuck in a loop and stops functioning correctly. So callers call, get the auto attendant, but will never get transferred. Meantime, you can place outgoing calls, but no incoming calls are received. You must power cycle the main unit to get things operational again. This happens to us about once a week where for one of many reasons the auto attendant locks up.We've found that the best solution for our 5 user office is use a hosted voip solution such as Jive Communications, Nextiva, 8x8, etc.
