Good but not Great

The V-Tech VT3111-2 Two Handset Cordless Phone System did its duties well, but not what I would term great.+ Sound reception via earpiece is very good, clear, plenty strong.+ Sound reception via speakerphone is very good, clear, strong.+ Dialing is easy and straight-forward, with little double key error.+ Call recipients report voice is clear sent form phones, even on speaker.- Characters on screen are much too TINY to be read without glasses.- Screen contrast is OK, but not great compared to older or newer phones.- Settings to retrieve Voicemail are less than easy, may be unreliable.- System records Voicemail even when only click of hang-up, a nuisance.- Voicemail reminders are a bit overdone and over-persistent.- Lacks a quick ''Silence'' setting for when you don't want disturbances.- Lists numbers for messages, but not ''Missed Calls'' as most Cell phones.- Does not list inbound or outbound calls for later referral, to save contact.Bottom Line: For a bit more money I have to believe there is a much better system out there for consumer use today, with more technology carried over from even the latest ''non-Smart'' inexpensive cell phones. Shop longer or smarter and find a better buy.

V-Tech Phone - Great!

This phone is great. I didn't know this phone was made for the t-mobile @ Home phone service. I have the t-mobile @ home service and it integrates perfectly. This phone has all the features you would want - speakerphone, headphone jack, great sound quality, and good battery time. For the price you can't beat it.
