You can then stream video, audio, or both with just two buttons. The doorbell has a waterproof video camera with adjustable camera angle and automatic infrared night vision. The handsets have a 1.8" color display and room to save up to 100 photos. You can use the intercom between the handset and base unit and conference between an outside line and up to 2 cordless handsets.

I really wanted it to work, but.....

Ok, someone had to be the first. I'm sure many of you wished you had a review before you bought this, so here you go. It's a nice looking product, easy to set up, slim elegant handset, nice looking base station. The doorbell/camera is nicely made, and solid. The phone works great as well as the answering machine.Now the other side of the coin. First of all, like most companies and certainly most electronic companies, customer support is limited to email, and Vtech is no exception. I wrote to them before I took deliver about some questions, but it's bee 2 days and I've only gotten a computer generated message saying they'd get back to me in a 1-3 business days. Maybe I should delay my payment by that amount and see how they like it.Anyway, I got the package today and set it up. The video is HORRIBLE. Unless I'm doing something wrong, this thing is the worse video I've seen, ever. It's black and white and is so washed out, I swear it looks like a ghost movie.Unless they can correct this, I would have to say that I'm extremely disatisfied with this product and will return it if they cannot resolve this problem.Good luck to all of you out there.

works great but misses a few features

Great product for a 1st generation. The camera needs to be located out of direct sun or the image is seen as more of a silhouette than a clear picture. Volume, talk, and end buttons are not backlit and should have been.

Arrived OK & exactly as ordered

Having received the V-tech Door Phone set, all parts are present. It will require some aftermarket power packs as 240V is used in Australia. I have to wait until my Electrician can install it, however, so I can't give a review or rating of it "working" as yet.
