Awesome Phone!

This phone is awesome! The clarity is amazing whether I am next to the computer or near the microwave or tv. The other day I discovered that when the power goes out it loses the time and day settings....BUT when someone calls they are quickly restored. AMAZING! I like the old telephone ring tone, lighted key pad, the weight, it's design, large screen and all of its jam packed features. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS PHONE!

I just got this phone. So far so good but we'll see how it goes. Just wanted to let folks know a couple of things:1) This is an energy star phone even though the description doesn't tell you that. That was my first criteria when choosing it--maybe that's important to you.2) This is silver & black--not black & white as described. It's no big deal for me but it might matter to you. I am kind of tired of metallic silver plastic though.

My Vtech DS6221

I bought this to replace an older cordless phone/answering machine. It is much smaller and takes up less desk space. One thing I like about it is it can be expanded by just buying additional handsets. It was easy to set up and it is very easy to operate.One thing I have to get used to is the speakerphone function only works with the handset out of the cradle. My former phone had it in the base and the handset didn't have to be removed to use the speakerphone capability. Otherwise, the phoneis excellent with controls very well designed. The audio quality is very good.Overall, I am very pleased with this phone.
