Authentic look, but that cables gotta go!

Very durrable and authentic, the sounds and lights are great, but the USB cable permanately connected to it is a major detraction. If it plugged in to charge and then could be removed from both ends, that would be one thing, but the cable is there to stay. And if the cable had to be permanately affixed, why not give the gadget more purpose, make it a surrogate mouse or something to give it some functionality? Clever, fun but ultimately dissappointing.

Very unusual item. Just the right size, nice quality, I wish it had no cord

The strange thing about this item is that it's pretty well made, and would serve as a nice collectible Communicator replica, except for one detail.... it's actually a working communicator... sort of.Believe it or not, this is a USB device, and it only works when it's plugged into a computer (hence I took away a star). When you plug it in your computer will see this as a functioning audio device, capable of two way audio, so you can actually use this to either as a speaker / microphone with provgrams like Skype or other instant messaging programs.

This is just too cool! One of THE best Communicator replicas out there. Great sounds!!! I hadda have two.Oh, and I'm given to understand it also works as some sort of internet phone as well... bonus!
