It works, price is right

Installed fine, works out of the box, no issues, everything is fine. Its a phone. It makes and receives phone calls just like every other phone. I have yet to ever find a "perfect" cordless phone, especially one that lasts a long time. After a while, buttons stop working, or the battery dies, and it doesn't seem to matter if they are expensive or cheap. So I treat them like a disposable item. This thing is less than twenty bucks, if it lasts me a year or so or better yet 2 years, then great, when it breaks I'll toss it and get another one. The phone I replaced (which I got for $10 on sale and lasted about 2 years) was still working OK, but the battery died. Guess what? It cost almost as much for a replacement battery as this phone cost brand new! So I got this one, and like I said, it works fine. Note I do not have DSL like the other reviewer.UPDATE! Well I see I wrote my original review 3 years ago, and this phone is still for sale at Amazon. I am happy to report that this one is still in daily service. All the buttons work and the battery is holding up, so at 3 years this phone has lasted longer than any its predecessors that I owned. I don't use it heavily every day, but it does get used. I am tempted to buy another one just to have as a backup in case this one does eventually give out. Another bonus I just noticed - the replacement battery (BT-905) can be bought for about 4 bucks from Amazon. That is great, I hate it when the replacement battery costs as much as a new phone.Based on the 3-year-and-going lifetime, I upgraded this to 5 stars. I don't see any downsides at all.

Uniden 5.8 GHZ Caller ID cordless phone

Very good phone-- my family has been using it for about two months and we're happy with it. It is connected as a digital phone to our cable modem, and is in our family room next to two computers. We have not experienced any interference with our wireless router (which is about 4 feet away from the phone base). The previous 900mhz phone sometimes had interference issues. Reception is clear, and we have not had any problems using this phone anywhere in the house (upstairs or downstairs). We only experienced one problem-- about two weeks after installation the phone was cutting voices in and out, but switching to another channel cleared this up. Overall a good choice for the money.

Great Little Phone!

I am quite pleased with this phone. It is loud and reception is clear even taking it outside. Functions are faily easy to use, however it only allows for storage of 10 phone numbers. Also, once again Amazon's shipping was phenomenally quick.
