save your money

I bought this phone system a few months ago from a local store, not Amazon. The batteries in my old AT&Ts were not holding a charge and replacement batteries are almost as much as a new system. The only 'pro' for Uniden is the price - $40.The 'cons'--1 The instructions don't match the phone.2 There is no speed dial feature or caller history3 They're cheaply made, extremely lightweight, especially the base.4 The worst problem is my voice occasionally cuts out and I hear "are you there?, hello, hello."When checking the model number for this review, I discovered the label stuck to the base is # D1481 and the embossed # is D1484.I would not recommend this product. Spend a little more and go with Panasonic or AT&T.

Great for the price, and for the house

I've had this for some time now, and it's done very well. True, it doesn't have every available feature that some other models might, but it does what it's supposed to do, and the three handsets make it very convenient for home use. I especially like the speaker phone, and that you can page the other handsets.
