Great Features, Great Sound

So far, we've been very impressed with this phone system. We chose it due to the high marks received in Consumer Reports (I know, I know). We purchased the 2-handset system along with 2 more handsets (Uniden DCX320 Cordless Handset) for a total of 4.I specifically like the Bluetooth feature and find the range to be quite acceptable. We leave our phones near the base anyway (although it still works fine even with a cell phone that's on a different floor). I like being able to receive cell calls on any of our handsets.The sound quality on calls is great. Better than any other cordless phone we've ever used.Other reviewers have complained about the "clunky" user interface, and I understand what they're saying -- which is why I'm not giving it 5 stars. The menus aren't entirely intuitive and it does require an excess of keypresses to do just about anything. However, the other reviewer who complained that you had to start a call then end it to get back to the home screen was mistaken. Simply pressing the red "End" button will always take you back to the idle screen.All-in-all we're very satisfied.

Share minutes with your cell phone, talk during power outages...and more!

I briefly considered giving up my land lines and going to cell phones, but then decided that the land line gives me much better quality of the calls and has not gone dead once when I loose electrical power. I also noticed that my cell reception varies from good to rather bad in different parts of the house.To keep the phone working through electrical power outage you need a corded phone (rather than cordless). Fortunately, this Uniden model allows you to have it all. The base has a corded phone which can be used during a power outage, and the other units have the convenience of being cordless for the rest of the times.This unit has an answering machine and can support up to 12 cordless units (comes with two). It has a very good quality of voice when you are both listening and talking. I spent a lot of time on conference calls and these calls can go on for hours. I have been using this phone for several months and still have no problem completing these multi-hour conference calls almost every day.The unit has blue-tooth support, and you can pair it with your cell phones (up to 4). Which means if you have unlimited plans on the your cell phone or have left over minutes you can use them on this phone's handsets. You can also sync this phone up with you contact list on the cell phone.This is a good phone with a number of very useful features!Ali Julia review

Not what I thought I bought...

The picture on this product is very deceiving, even with the product description. It made me believe that I was receiving a base (corded) phone and two additional cordless phones. This was not the case. I received the package and it was one cordless and the base (corded) phone. The phone has only been installed in the home for a week and it seems to be working well. Functionally, I would recommend the phone, especially for those who are looking to eventually get rid of their home phone line. But buyer beware, you are not going to get what is displayed in the picture.
