Does not keep time

I bought a D1685-3 that repeatedly lost variable amounts of time for unknown reasons. Uniden sent a replacement D1685 that had the same problem. Uniden then sent me a D2280-3 replacement. That replacement also fails to keep time. Internet searches revealed over a hundred complaints about multiple Uniden models not keeping time.Uniden will not issue a refund for defective phones purchased from Amazon.com or any other vendors. Uniden's customer service and warranty departments are swamped with calls: my three calls kept me on the line for 45 minutes, 42 minutes, and 77 minutes.

Perfect for Home Office

I purchased this telephone as a result of my movement from a traditional office to a home office. I utilized my speakerphone almost exclusively in my traditional office, and was looking for a telephone that had a base speakerphone coupled with a cordless handset in order to continue this trend.The D1685 was the only phone I found under $75 that met these requirements, and I must say I am extremely happy with this phone. The speakerphone clarity on the base is clear on both sides of the conversation (and is even better when using the speakerphone capability on the cordless handset). Volume, for me, is not an issue at all (as was stated in some of the other reviews) ; in fact, I am only using a volume level of 2 out of 10 for my calls.The only complaint I do have is that (as stated in other reviews) the clock on the phone does not seem to hold the time very well. I end up having to reset it every other week or so; however, it is not integral for what I need from the telephone.

Useless Uniden

This was to replace an old 5.8 Uniden which I had for 8 years.Great phone, great sound quality.I was expecting the same or better with the new 6.0 DECT Technology.What a disappointment.The Speakerphone is loud, but the sound is badly distorted.When I switched off the speaker phone, there was allot of echo.The phone will be shipped back for a refund.
