Works great for us

I opened an animal hospital 3 and a half years ago. I bought ten of these phones. We have 4 lines and it was great to not need an expensive exchange. The phones have worked great. Minor issues: Even with batteries they need to be reprogrammed after power outages. Not too much of a problem since most are on UPS. I have a spare phone, when one has the very occasional (think annual) glitch I usually just swap out the extra. They seem to heal by sitting in my cabinet for a few months (mostly kidding). I just recently had the first actual failure. The place where the cord goes into the handset got damaged on one of the two most heavily used phones. A small piece of metal got bent. Considering all the bumps/ drops/ use we have been very pleased. I would highly recommend.

Excellent home office or small business phone

Easy to install. Factory settings made it possible to almost plug and play on my land line. The phone has really nice options. The headset jack makes it really easy to connect a hands free headset (2.5mm jack) for those long conference calls or to make for free hands to type. Nice large display. Really easy to program memory/speed dial buttons. I recommend reading the manual before starting your install so you don't miss any great features. I plan to buy another so I can take advantage of the intercom feature. The style is a little plain - all black and green screen. I would like to see a bright white backlit display and some chrome accents on the phone. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase.

Good featured phone, bad handset design

I purchased four of these phones for a small business customer of mine to replace the outdated Panasonic phones they had. The 4-line model ET-4300 is very well made except for the handset. After two initial blunt force traumas by employees, the handset didn't survive, prompting me to find a replacement handset. TMC's Customer Support line leaves much to be desired. Call them and they'll call you back, maybe. The two stars are for fragile components in the handset, and very slow customer support response.
