Works very well, but know what it does before ordering
By Just a guy
This really only works between a corded headset and a corded phone. It will not work with a 3.5mm earphone jack and it will not work if you just try to plug it straight into the wall. It only works between a corded headset and a phone. It also requires you to lift the handset off the cradle yourself to answer calls. there is an accessory lifter, but that is extra. The sound quality is adequate. I found the headband comfortable, but none of the earpiece-only sizes was comfortable (I use an earpiece only one at work). The corded phone must have a separate headset, not a clamshell phone where the headset also has buttons.

A good DECT headset for keeping a call going while far and wide in your house
By APC Reviews
Spracht HS-2012 ZUM DECT 6.0 Wireless Headset with Base Station is a good example of a product that seeks to fill the niche stated as "what if you wanted a wireless headset for use with a hard land line, but wanted greater range and security than produced by Bluetooth?". As such it's a nice looking unit that performed very well for me all over my house and out into the driveway -- it's basically a dialless cordless phone in the form of a headset, and the range and performance is very similar. As had been noted, the Spracht is not interoperable with base stations made by other makers that require the ability to manually enter a pairing code. The Spracht works only with its own proprietary base station, that is paired with the headset by pressing a sequence of buttons until status lights flash confirmation of pairing. In between uses the Spracht base station serves as a charging station and rest for the headset.Outgoing calls must still be dialed from either the base of your land-line phone, if that's where the dial is, or from the original headset of the land-line phone, which must be attached to the base station for the Spracht. A tad inconvenient, but there doesn't seem to be any other "plumbing" solution. That said, the system works well. This would probably be more useful to people in an office, for long conference calls or, at home, for compulsive multitaskers who also want to chat chat chat. I liked it and had a good experience using it. A little expensive for what it is, but RECOMMENDED.

Clear connection, good coverage, but poor comfort on over-the-head band
By Scott Schiefelbein
I am not a gadget geek by any stretch of the imagination, so there may be dozens of subtle nuances I miss with regard to the Spracht wireless headset. For me, it comes down to simple functionality:Is reception clear for me and for the other folks on the line?Is the coverage decent? Is it comfortable? The answers to the first two questions are yes and yes. I've used the headset on a number of calls and nobody on the other end of the line has noticed. I also can hear just fine. So that's good. The coverage is also decent. I haven't tested the professed 500-foot range yet, but I've gone well over 20 feet away to a nearby conference room without a glitch in coverage/clarity. So that's fine.My only issue is comfort. When I use the over-the-head bar, the headset is not all that comfortable. The headset does not feel securely perched on my head and it starts to feel awkward after about 10 minutes. The over-the-ear option is better, but to me it's a pretty big piece of hardware to have dangling from your ear, so I would have preferred a better over-the-head option. But that may just be me - as a kid I never could wear those plastic baseball half-helmets that were all the rage in the 1980s, either. All in all, it's a fine product.
