Phone works fine but can't pick up calls on hold

The phone is fine. My complaint is a design flaw for these types of phones. We have several different 4 line office phones that work great together. You get a call on line 1 and put it on hold, someone at another phone can pick it up. This phone can't do that. If we answer on one phone and I want the portable to pick up, it says "line in use" and won't let you talk on that line.There are many times when we want two or three of us on the same line to listen to something and this phone stinks in this area.There was nothing anywhere online that warned me about this major flaw.

Seems very good

No static, easy to use. Battery when phone off the base seems quite good, but have only had a week or so.PLEASE NOTE: This RCA phone turned out to be a bust. The battery was awful, less than 10 minutes off the base and we returned it. We purchased a Panasonic 2 line TG9322T and it's terrific. In fact, bought 2 more for my office. No complaints!
