4Confuses me

Okay, this works. Just like its supposed to. But I couldn't give it 5-stars. The good part first. It lites up great, it has all the info I need. and it is easy to install.What's the problem? I can't figure out all the functions. The instructions aren't completely clear. I can't figure out how to erase all the messages or how to store certain ones. This unit does all that, but it really could be more user friendly. I'm no simpleton when it comes to electronics. I am quite computer literate and even built a few. I have a smart phone. I can even set the time on my old VCR, lol But this baby has me stumped just enough to not worry about it and give up on those details.But it works as advertised and came at a reasonable price. BTW, I'm using it on an antique 1930's European dial phone, that's why I need it in the first place.
