Plantronics C620 Headset - It's a winner!

I've used Plantronics headsets for over 20 years and think they are as good as you can get for commercial applications. I called Plantronics and asked them what headset they would recommend using on a PC for Skype, watching/listening to videos and creating voice overs for videos that I create for web designs. I was assuming they would recommend one of the gaming headsets. They recommended the Blackwire C620. I read the reviews here on Amazon and was a little concerned about the comfort. I ordered the headset and opted for the free shipping (5-7 business days). The order was received by the seller and shipped the same day via UPS 3 Day Select. To my surprise, the package shipped from Kentucky to Utah and arrived at my door the next day.My testing verifies what Plantronics told me about the headset. It is lightweight and very comfortable to wear. The sound rivals my Bose noise cancelling headphones and the voice transmission quality is fantastic (tested by creating recordings and playing them back). I've been using a professional grade external microphone for audio voiceovers but the microphone picks up the fan noise from the computer (and virtually anything else like traffic from the street outside). The microphone built into the headset has noise cancelling functionality built in so the voice transmission is crisp, clean and clear with no background noise.The headset comes with padded leatherette ear covers with a replacement set of foam pads. It's USB plug and play - no set up required. Skype instantly recognized the headset when I plugged it in and changed all the settings to match the headset. The thumb control on the cord allows you to mute the voice and control the volume using the cord. The cord is long enough to hit any of the USB ports on the computer so it doesn't get in the way of the mouse. I would definitely recommend the Plantronics Blackwire C620 headset and this vendor!

Excellent Headset

We ordered several of these for our call center. Our agents love the fact that they go over both ears and prefer them over the mono headphones.They can hear the customers better and it helps reduce the background noise.When we first bought them I was concerned that they would not last. However they have held up very well, even with being used for 8+ hours a day.Only one agent complained about these headsets because it interfered with her hair style.

Generally speaking this set of head set with microphone is quality & well built to last. The sound & voice quality is excellent & realistic to natural sound. The earpiece could be alittle bit bigger to accommodate for comfortability. The headband on top could be a little thicker & stronger for more stability. I felt that the band ontop was kinda weak though comfortable. I would like it to be more stronger presssing against my ear. The wire cord is too long & unnecessary... Love USB connection very convience & easy recognition on both of my computers Window 7 pro & ultimate 64 bits. This set should last a long time to come. Would recommend.
