A piece of garbage

I assume the reviewers who gave this phone a high rating were under 20 years of age. Thus they never actually used or grew up with a rotary phone. Well, I have news for you: this phone is lightweight, plastic piece of human sewage. It's about 1/3 the actual weight of a real 1960's phone, the dial is cheap plastic and prominently displayed on the rear is "made in China."Gee... ya think!? (spoken with dripping sarcasm).I bought this miserably cheap "phone" (heavy quotations) for my second home in Mammoth Lakes, California. Mid century modern is the scheme of things and I thought this would fit in. Forget it! A wretched, fake, phony phone for those born post-1990 who haven't a clue of what life was like in the actual 1960's. The nadir of phones.

Fun and function

The phone took a while to get here but it looks great and works fine. The dial is smooth, the receiver has just enough weight to feel comfortable and the speaker feature is cool.We get lots of compliments on it.

Love this RETRO phone!

Forget any bad reviews this is a RETRO phone and it is fabulous! My home is mid century modern and this telephone looks so 1960's. Works fantastic, sounds good. Love the speaker option. I cannot say enough about it. I LOVE IT! If your on the fence BUY IT, you will love it!
