Good wireline wall phone

This is a good wall phone at a reasonable price from ANTonline via Amazon.Pros:- Good phone, reasonable price- Good caller ID display- Indicates "# missed calls" on the display- Twenty programmable one-touch dial buttons- Plus a number of speed dial storage locations (I don't use these)- Ringer volume is easily adjustable by an external switch (Low, High, Off)- Handset volume is adjustable by the circular arrow selector/button at the bottom right- Sound quality is good at my end, with no complaints from people on the other side- Phone provides a good place to put the handset if you want to leave it off the hook for a minute- There is also a "hold" feature that can optionally provide electronic musical hold (however cheesy the music sounds)- Can also connect a headset, though I have never used this feature- Wall phone configuration holds handset securelyCons:- When using it as a wall phone, it will stick out from the wall about 5 inches at the bottom.- Turning the support bar on the back of the phone from desk mode to wall mode is hard to do - takes a lot of effort (and/or two people). Once this bar is turned to wall mode, the bar must be removed again when the batteries need to be replaced.- No backlight on LED (this is not a problem for me)- It takes reading the manual to learn how to program this phone (it's not intuitive), but it only takes a few minutes of reading to learn the procedure.This phone was good enough that I bought a second one to use in another location. I bought the first one because my old ATT phone's display bought the farm when the batteries needed replacing the first time. I've since come to find out that's a regular occurrence with the ATT wireline phones, so I went with Panasonic. There are very few wireline phones out there anymore. This is a good, single-line wireline phone option.

A good phone

I looked for a long time for this phone and finally found it.I needed to find one with caller ID waiting to replace my oldPanasonics.Finding a single line wired phone was a problem....I like tohave a number of small buttons that can be programmed, so allyou have to do is push the "Fred" button and it rings.The only thing I would have liked would be a small light toindicate that new calls had arrived since you last checked.Overall, for the price, a great home phone.

Panasonic KX-TS880W.

It's a great basic office desk phone - especially for the price. Furthermore, the buttons are all easy to read. The headset jack also comes in very handy for me. The only drawback, perhaps, is that all the programmed features, like phone book and rapid dial, work on battery power, requiring you change batteries periodically.
