5Exceeded My Expectations
By SNS
I purchased the Panasonic KX-TG7533B DECT 6.0 PLUS Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System with 3 Handsets largely because of my past experience with Pansonic Quality and the features listed. I was especially interested in the large keys, large high contrast LCD display and in general the well thought out layout of the units.Usually before I make a purchase, I generally research it fairly well. As this product was relatively new when I purchased it several weeks ago, there were only two other reviews at Amazon and really not a lot of other user information else where. With all other cordless phones I've used in the past, I have always experienced difficulty with the small, low contrast LCD display (without reading glasses) and quite often with the low call volume and limited range. Since I have also experienced frequent disconnection of my Wi-Fi laptop internet connection when using other cordless phones anywhere in my home, I was very excited to hear about the DECT 6.0 advantages. The Amazon vendor we brought from (Sixth Avenue Electronics)was excellent to deal with, providing the lowest price we found. Shipment of the units was very rapid (even earlier than indicated for UPS ground) and the unit arrived in excellent condition. Following the instructions I let all the handset charge for 7 hours to obtain a full charge and then did the set up which was very simple and went without a hitch. I was absolutely delighted with every aspect of the phones. It was by far and a way the easiest to read and listen to of any cordless phone I have ever used. We received many compliments about the clarity of the calls we made and the calls we received so far are also excellent. I am happy to say that have not experienced the phones causing interfence problems with my lap top or anything else. The range of these phones is excellent, I am able to make and receive high quality calls from any place in my house or yard, and to date I have been able to use the phones reliably outside my house from more than 300 ft from the base (without the use of the optional extender). While I haven't used the phone for more than several weeks, at this point both the battery life and standby time have exceeded the rated specs.I had read some criticism on similar earlier models that you had to go through several menu layers for some features. While this is true for some features, it is not at all difficult or confusing. In fact, Panasonic has optional simple numeric codes you can key in to get to the features even faster if you wish. Another minor criticism we read about the phones was the limited ring tones available (about 5 tones and 5 melodies, I believe). While the ones provided were basic and not as extensive as you might find on a typical cell phone, we found several that we could live with and were quite adequate for our needs. In addition to the features mentioned so far there are really many things both my wife and I really like about this phone. One of these things is information sharing. So for example, you enter into memory in one handset caller information for someone, and it is immediately available for your other handsets. We really enjoy the intercom and call conferencing features. They are very easy to use and work well. The caller block feature is also very easy to use. Since I presently have voice mail service with my telephone service provider, I was also very pleasantly surprised to find how easy and convenient the phone is to bypass the built in answering machine when I want to. With a single button I can simply retrieve voice messages. We also enjoy the use of the silent mode feature of the phones, where we can program the times during which a given handset ringer will ring. All in all, this is by far and away the highest quality and most useful cordless phone I have used to date.

4Good set of phones
By D. Kelley
This phone works well. There is a small delay when accessing a call list, but it's nice that the phonebook automatically synchronizes between phones. The features I like also include caller muting (nice for meetings over speakerphone), speakerphone and voice mail integration. The message light on the back of the phone should be on the front where one can actually see it.

1PANASONIC HAS ADMITTED CRUCIAL DESIGN FLAW IN THIS SYSTEM
By Honest American Reviewer
I have been a big fan of Panasonic cordless phones, have owned several (systems), so I ordered this system before it was even shipping, was probably one of the first in the country to receive it.Unfortunately, after a week and a half of being jerked around by Panasonic customer service (they promised on three occasions that they were sending a replacement set, even though they knew that they wouldn't be--see below) they finally admitted that there is a design problem with capacitors in the handset. The result is that if a handset is more than a few feet away from the base unit, the phone rings continuously (rather than having a pause between rings) and continues to ring for 7-10 seconds after a call is answered. The handsets also do not show caller i.d. You cannot imagine how annoying the continuous ringing is until you have to deal with it every time a call comes in.I was promised by two separate supervisors on three separate occasions that they would be calling back with a tracking number for the shipment of a replacement system, which they insisted on doing, rather than, for example, just sending a signal booster unit. But in each case, no one ever called back. One time I waited from Monday to Friday for a call that never came, then from a Friday to end of day Monday. When one of the supervisors insisted that she never told me that she was calling back with a tracking number (that was the Mon-Fri wait) I finally got to a "senior supervisor," who explained about the capacitor problem, and as of 4/27, has assured me that new capacitors are on the way from Japan, and once they have been placed in handsets, I'll receive replacements. She insisted that the supervisors I dealt with knew about this "known problem," which apparently also occurs in two of Panasonic's 2009 models. So when I first called about this, and the supervisor took a half hour of my time having me try the remote handsets in different rooms--different distances from the base unit--she was simply going through a process to confirm what Panasonic already knew, just for the benefit of engineers, while making it seem like she was trying to help in some way.No, I am not paranoid, this is based on what the senior supervisor told me, i.e., she apologized for the supervisors promising to send new units, and said that yes, the supervisor who had me do the "testing" was being guided by folks from engineering. And, apparently, the promised shipments that never happened were based on wishing/hoping that the replacement capacitors had already arrived in the U.S., which, obviously, they hadn't.So Panasonic shipped a new product that it knew had a design flaw, and then jerked me around until it finally had no choice other than to admit that the product needed a fix, and admit that they have no firm date by which the replacement will be ready (and in the meantime, as I understand it, they continue to sell the flawed 2009 models as well as this new model).I am a long time buyer of Panasonic products (have also been buying computers and other tech equipment since about 1983, so I am not a novice at this), and for years have replied to anyone who asked what kind of cordless phones to buy, "Panasonic, and nothing else" because of their overall voice quality, features, and dependability. But based on their irresponsible and incompetent customer service (I wasted more than two hours in three separate phone calls before they told me the truth, there is lots more in terms of dishonest responses, but I won't go on any more about it), and the fact that they continue to ship flawed products, my days as a Panasonic customer are over (did someone say "Samsung"?)
