The DECT 6.0 Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a whole new level. By increasing the frequency of error correction up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phone's range is extended. The new Intelligent Eco Mode automatically lowers the power consumption when you are using the handset close to the base unit. Not only does it extend the available talk time, it's good for the environment. With Talking Caller ID you don't have to be holding the phone to see who is calling. Using text-to-speech technology, the Caller ID information is announced between rings. Additional features include call block, silent mode, up to 4-way conference capability, and much more.

Finally, Peaceful Evenings

Two words: call block. I turned in my perfectly good previous phone system(found a good home with an animal rescue group) because of this feature. When you get an objectionable call, you program in that number for the block and after that, they get a busy signal and you get a very short tone and the beautiful words "call blocked". Amazingly, it was only 3 numbers doing all the ringing including the execrable SafeTouch Security people who had disregarded all my pleas.It has a number of really great features and is the easiest phone system I have ever used. You can put people in groups and give a ring tone to the group. So the Ride of the Valkyries let's me know a family member is calling and a woo-woo tone let's me know a business, like the dentist is calling. Great phone.

Great Cordless Phone

My daughter bought this for me for Christmas, and It's fantastic. Lots of different ringtones, easy to program, and the color is nice (wine red). I have a hard time hearing other people when I'm on other phones, but this one is great even on the lowest level!! The Answering system is also loud enough to hear, unlike so many others I have tried. I love this phone!

Great phone for the Money

This phone is light years ahead of the GE model that it replaced. Unlike it's predecessor, the volume and clarity on the handsets is excellent. Also unlike the GE machine, this one does not require a rocket scientist to program. The remote answering machine functions are simple and have worked every time. The display on the handsets is bright, and the characters are large enough for the optically challenged like myself. While we have had this unit for only a month or so, at this point I would say that it is an excellent value for the money.
