Call Block is a great feature

Over time we have landed on some telemarketing lists that ignore the no-call list, like to call at dinner time, and never leave a message. It was great to be able to save these nuisance callers' numbers in the "call block" list. Once saved, as soon as caller ID comes through the caller gets a busy signal. (Caller ID is received after one ring.) There are only 30 slots for saving caller numbers to block, but the frequency of nuisance calls is now greatly reduced; so I'll soon go in and remove the numbers that have stopped calling us. The detailed manual is pretty clear about how to perform all of the set-up tasks. Our retired Panasonic system's base unit was a larger design with keypad and digital message number indicator (which I prefer), but this base unit mounted securely on the wall and its compact design is growing on me. I'm completely satisfied and would buy this system again.

Wonder Phone

At first I was taken back by the 63 page manual. But this phone is so easy to program. I love the talking caller ID. It doesnt always sound like it should, which makes it even more fun. You dont have to activate that feature if you dont want to. The speaker phone works great. What I especially like is that once someone calls you, you have the option to either block them or add them to your phonebook. How simple is that! The display area is big so you dont have to put your glasses on. The phone can even be set as an alarm! I love the silent mode for sleeping time. All in all, most pleased!

Over great phone

Overall I gave this phone system a 5. I do not use the answering system so cannot comment on it. The volume on the handset seems weak to me, would prefer greater ability to crank it up for weaker voices. The erase function for the caller ID list has no "erase all" function that I have found and requires at least two steps to erase each call.The intercom allows individual naming of each phone location and works great.The Call announcement by simulated voice is almost useless, garbled and very weak.Overall the system works fine for my purpose.
