A Cordless Phone with Range

I must admit that I purchased the Panasonic KX-TG4753B with my fingers crossed. There is some occasional interference in my home that has stopped top of the line baby monitors and most cordless phones in their tracks. The only cordless that I have ever had consistent voice quality with was an ancient Lucent 900Mhtz phone. Tried at least 5 other models of phones with no success. This model interested me because of the included range extender. I figured it was worth a shot. The first phone I received seemed to work well for about three days and then freaked out. It continually rang like it was making an intercom call, even though none had been attempted. Tried Panasonic Customer Support who tried to fix the issue, but no luck. Contacted Amazon to return it. They took it back, without hassle, and free shipping and sent me a new unit. Profs to Amazon for service. The second unit has performed flawlessly. The range is ridiculous. I had my daughter take a hand set outside and we were able to speak clearly for at least 100 yards away from the house. The connection wasn't interrupted until she rounded a bend in the road and went behind a house. Even that did not drop the connection. As she headed back and cleared the house, her voice was loud and clear again. The units had an "ECO" mode which is basically low power to save the batteries. It stays in the mode until the signal gets weak enough to call for full power. Where my old phone would have cut out, this one is still in ECO mode. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone who has had connection or interference issues with other phones. My only regret is that I didn't get the unit with more handsets, which was available. I can, and probably will purchase additional handsets, which are also available

I'm Very Impressed!

I chose this phone as a replacement for my six-year-old Panasonic phone after the ringers started to quit. I looked at several similar models from Panasonic. When I saw the "Range Extender" on the box I thought it was a gimmick.I have three "dead" rooms on the lower floor of my house and some areas outside where NO cordless devices will work, including cell phones. In fact, when I walked into these rooms, my previous phone would always sputter, emit warning beeps, then hang up. After charging these handsets, I plugged the Range Extender in & hung it on the wall as recommended in the manual. I phoned someone & walked into the dead rooms & was pleasantly surprised that there was NO change in sound, no sputtering, no warning beeps. Then I walked outside....same thing; nothing but crystal-clear sound.Another important point: I have a 50% hearing loss in the mid frequency (where most speech is)in addition to severe tinnitis. I had absolutely NO problem hearing every single word from the person on the other line. That NEVER happens in person. The clarity is amazing - little or no distortion even with the volume up to maximum (where I have to have it.) The larger display & backlit numbers on the keypad are also welcome changes-especially for older eyes.The only criticism I have is a minor one: The ring tones on my previous Panasonic phone were louder. That would normally be a problem if not for the fact that I can now have a handpiece right next to me all the time, since the range has improved so dramatically.

Great Long range Phone Package

Panasonic KX-TG4753B DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Answering System and Range Extender, Black, 3 HandsetsI needed a phone that allow me to call and receive 100% with a honest 300+ feet performance range. Living in a very heavy wooded ruale area were even the tree's present issues with my cell phone. I'm very pleased with this systen no regrets on choice & was very simple to install and set up. My base is in my shop 265 feet away from my home and I placed the extender near the window of the shop. The second phone is in my home office room and recepltion is clear and always in usable status. The third phone is also in my shop at the other end of the building. I took this phone out to my mail box yesterday 375 feet from building and stll walked down the street another 100+ feet. In a open area I would say this phone would give 400'-450 feet reception/usage or more. Once the tree's loose there foliage and that does make a diffrence could give another 50-75 feet
