The Panasonic KX-TG254SK expandable, digital, cordless telephone features DECT 6.0 Plus technology. Aside from the outstanding range and voice clarity provided to you via the DECT 6.0 technology, this phone also carries a digital answering system. With Panasonic text-to-speech technology the caller ID information is announced once the phone rings. The Silent Mode feature turns off the handset ringer when needed. The Panasonic KX-TG254SK can support up to 6 handsets. iPhone Integration enables ringtone matching and transfer - you'll now be able to hear that iOS jingle through any connected handset.

DECT 6.0 Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a whole new level. By increasing the frequency of error correction up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phones range is extended. Engineered to work in 1.9GHz frequency, our DECT 6.0 phones wont conflict with common wireless devices such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mice, microwave ovens and other household items. 5EXCELLENT...
By J Woodruff
Panasonic KX-TG254SK DECT 6.0 Link-to-Cell via Bluetooth Cordless Phone with Answering SystemThis item popped up on Woot, an Amazon company, refurbished and a great price. I bought it to replace an aging Panasonic KX system, also bought refurbished, that has served me well for many years. This newer model is feature rich and I'm loving it. Handsets are lighter, smaller, but have bigger-lighted key pads. The handsets all talk to each other, no matter which handset you pickup, the the phone book, caller list and so on, always the same. Handsets don't use priority batteries, two AAA rechargeable batteries. More in important, the phone book holds 3000+ numbers and the system is Bluetooth compatible for one headset and two cell phones. Also, the manual is half the size as the my older TX phone.Note: The base unit on this model does not contain a key pad or speaker phone, just the answering machine and locator button.Great unit for home, small home business or just be tech cool.May your calls be with you...

4Simply Nice
By Vivian
This is the simplest to setup and use phone system I've owned. Love the large buttons and easy to read fonts on the display screen. I wish the transferred cell phone reception was clearer, hence the lack of 5th star. All in all I would (an have) recommend this phone if you want a system.

4Pleased and disappointed at the same time
By M. Rodriguez
I will start off by saying I got this on Woot for $50. It is a great buy. Even though it's refurbished, it operates as if new. The screen is very basic (which I like), and the buttons are huge which I don't care about either way. I didn't really need this system, since I don't have a home phone line. I do, however, have a cell phone which I leave plugged in near the front door because I don't like leaving my phone at my bedside because I usually forget things that I leave on my nightstand. I am in the military, and ever so-often we have recall drills which can be in the middle of the night, or even at dinner. I almost always have my phone on vibrate mode, so I never hear those recalls and I have, on a couple occasions, had people knocking on my door late at night telling me to "answer your effing phone".I got this system because I have a slight need for it, as described earlier. And I figured as a bonus, it would also receive my wife's cell phone calls as well. The product does say that at will link up to two phones. But that doesn't mean what I thought it did. I will get back to this feature in a bit.The phones are pretty awesome. They allow you to work in "cell only" mode, so it won't try and look for a telephone line. It also allows you to set different ringtones for different phones, and even has the option to use the same ringtones as your cell phone (for phones which are compatible). Set-up was easy: all I had to do was link my cell to the base using the instruction manual. The only problem I had was transferring my phone book from my cell to my home system. I was about to give up, but then while playing with my phone I saw the option to "send name card", and sure enough that did the trick - each name card that I sent to my home phone system was added to the phonebook. Now back to my gripe about this system "linking" to two phones. It can, in fact, pair with two cell phones. HOWEVER, it can only be "connected" to one phone at a time. Basically, this system will auto-connect to whichever cell phone is in range first. Once connected, all handsets (or only select ones, if you desire) will ring when that cell is called. And when making calls, it will use whichever cell is currently connected to the system - but you can choose either phone that is paired with the system so long as they are both in rage if for any reason you want the outgoing call to come from the other cell phone. All system settings are done through the handsets. It's so easy. You don't have to migrate to the base system to change the settings. The only feature that I noticed you MUST do from each individual phone is set the "handset name" (i.e., bedroom, kitchen, living room, basement). I named the handsets each individually (they come default as handset 1,2,3,4) so that it makes it easier to intercom. I haven't yet used the home phone or answering system features yet, however I have made outgoing and received incoming calls, and it is so simple. I am thinking of getting an Ooma Telo Free Home Phone Service to use with my phone system, since I hope someday to be stationed overseas. When I do, I'll update the review. So am I upset that I bought this system? Not really. Would I have bought it if I knew what I know now? Probably not. It hasn't changed my life just yet, nor made it any easier, just slightly more convenient. I don't tend to buy things that I don't need. I didn't need this, and I'm disappointed that the system doesn't connect to BOTH mine and my wife's cell phones at once, but I am pleased with the overall performance of this phone system and don't ever plan to get rid it.
