5Exhaustive research turned up this set
By Gadget Girl
We were knee deep in old phones in this house and had to find something else. Though we would opt for Panasonic this time. We have Vonage so it was imperative to find a phone system with extra handsets. This phone lives up to its expectations. DECT wins for clear coverage even at great distances (at the neighbors two doors down). The speakerphone is loud and clear. I have no need for the answering machine, as we have voicemail. The phone will call voicemail for you if your set it up with pauses in between, and most of the time it works. Sometimes Vonage does not pick up straight away, which then does not sync with my self-set pauses and dialing. But that is not fault with the phone at all. The menu is a little less straightforward than our previous 5 year old phone (ATT), but not so much that it is annoying. The receivers are small and light. The batteries are great. It politely tells you when it is time to charge, and charging is 7 hours or less. We had a conference call on speaker for 3 hours and the phone still had 2 of 3 battery bars left. We have had this phone in use in the house for about 5 months.

4Great Phone !!
By ZIM
No complaints with this phone. Reception is good, features are worth it and build is solid. I have no "white" noise issues that others are talking about. This phone is built stronger than the uniden we had. The talking caller ID is what makes this phone. The phone book feature only requires you to enter name and number on one handset and it automatically transfers information to other sets. The talking feature will speak what ever name you store in the phone book or it will speaker telco information. We also like the fact that it uses "AAA" rechargeable batteries. This allows you to always have a spare charged set of batteries....we have another battery charger. My only complaint is that we wish it had a battery backup for the base and if you could monitor messages as they were being left via the handset. Uniden has that feature. Otherwise, we likey !!

2Awesome features but not always clear
By D'Lovely
I absolutely love all the features this phone has to offer and at a decent price. However, the reception is not always good. People sometimes have trouble hearing me clearly, and I get static on my end. Sadly, I will be returning it.
