I was comparing the OBi 110 vs OBi 200 series and was disappointed that there was no option to add POTS (traditional phone line / service) with OBi 2xx.This adapter was recently released and it allows the connection of POTS services to your OBI2xx that has an free USB port.Addition feature that is not mentioned in sales info is the ability to switch if you want the POTS to be your default service or your VoIP when you pick up your handset.Switching is as ease as pressing "##" after picking up the phone to switch between POTS and VoIP.I currently use this system overseas and am very happy that I don't have to use an two line cordless phone system in order to access either system and that I can now use the existing phone system in my home.I hope this added info helps make your purchasing decision.

Skype on my OBi202

I don't have a traditional landline (POTS) from the phone company that this device was probably primarily designed for.This lets me hook my FreeTalk Skype VoIP Phone Adapter to my OBi202 Google Voice VoIP Phone Adapter so I can get Skype through the phone hooked to the OBi202.Not much documentation. After looking at the configuration settings I figured out that dialing ## accesses the FreeTalk that I plugged into this adapter.

Nice concept, needs work on execution.

I had high hopes for this item but as I have worked with it over the last couple weeks, I have become somewhat disappointed. First off, hardly any documentation in the box or in the administration guide online. I don't know if it's the 202 I have it connected to or that the Obiline is a work in progress at Obihai's servers but I have intermittent issues with connectivity and proper operation. I am hoping in time things will get better as more people use this thing. If I had it to do over again, I would have bought a Obi110 (for $15.00 more) and bridged it to my 202 so that I have had 6 line capacity and a hard wired POTS connection that is proven.
