QUALITY DEVICES!

This phone system is the one to get no matter what, now worries about where to put them where phone lines are. Only the main base needs to be connected to the phone line. They do not lose signal from the base in my 3 story house or run interference with my WNDR3700V2 or my iPhone. They were so easy to set up I was done in less than 10 minutes. They were just about plug and play! No pre-charging that I had to worry about just insert the battery that comes with each phone and let them charge all night. I upgraded from my old Uniden phone system. when people call it adds a whole new definition to Caller ID, it actually show the name of who is calling even if you haven't programmed there number(s) in. This is not fake review, all though I did not purchase on Amazon, it would of been about 10 bucks cheaper but I don't wait for shipping.

Missing Features

This Motorola system lacks a couple of important features that are common in most other phone systems. There is no "Shared Directory". This means that you have to enter each of your names and numbers on each individual phone instead of on a single unit. Any changes also must be make on the individual phones. This system does not use a Memory Match for the Caller ID. The names entered in your directory do not show up on the caller ID screen. Instead, you get either the standard caller id format or no name listed at all.

You habits will determine if these phones are for you

The reviews of this product will go two ways .. If you like to enter you entire phone book into the memory of these phones, then buy something else. However if you like me and still use a written personal phone book, then these may be for you.As far as actual telephone performance, I find them clear and user friendly as far as actual telephone. The base station is placed at the back of our home. To test performance, I walked out the front door and down the street. I got a little over 300 feet before it began to break up some. That's a football field, boys and girls. If you need more portability than that, then stick with your cell phone. Now I do live in a rural area, so your performance may vary if you are a city slicker. These phones are solid performers as a land line phone. Contrary to what some reviewers stated, a name will appear on caller id, if the caller does not have their id hidden. At least on my phone system (Charter Phone).I did give it only 4 stars, because I do wish I could turn up the volume a little more than it goes, but if you are not an old guy like me with hearing problems, you probably won't notice.Now for those reviewers who complained about the manner in which these phones store phone numbers, I would ask, why are you even doing that? You probably have all your numbers stored in smart phone of some kind and hopefully you back that up to your computer or a cloud and have your computer backed up to an offsite backup service. Most people dial their land line by memory (ok, you like speed dial, so one for you) and I bet that you will look up a number in your smart phone when you need a number. You should also have those phone numbers written down in a book. One power surge will make you wish you did if you don't.Bottom Line. If you are like me and don't feel the need to enter phone numbers into everything electronic you can find, use a book for numbers you don't have memorized and don't feel the 2 seconds speed dial saves is worth paying double or triple for another phone system that is easier to store numbers in and just want a phone system that performs as a phone, then save some money and buy these.On the other hand, if you do feel the need to spend double or triple for a land line phone system that has a bunch of features, then go ahead and make another manufactures day by spending double or triple. But you have to ask yourself one question, do you really use a land line that much these days, or do you talk to Siri more often?
