1Great headset - terrible seller

Beware - advertised as new in bulk packaging. Item did not arrive new. There were scratches on the back of the unit near the charging port, which usually happens after trying (and failing) to plug it in.Additionally - Jawbone prints the word "REFURB" on refurbished units. The one I received had REFURB printed on it, but someone had attempted to scratch it out. I've bought refurbed headsets from Jawbone before; they look new with the exception of the REFURB print.One more (less significant) note - user manual had a stain on it. Not even the manual was new.In summation - "new" headset was actually a previously refurbished, then used headset. Also only came with one eargel and one earhook; Jawbone usually sends about a dozen gels.Fortunately, Amazon customer service is fantastic, and credited me back part of my purchase price (enough to make me keep the headset). Buyers beware though; this seller is a false advertiser.That said, the headset is fantastic and works a treat. Sound quality is both loud and very clear. I would recommend Jawbone headsets to anyone.

My first review of this item was never posted, so I'll try again. It seems that Amazon does not like reviews that include a five letter word starting with F, ending with D, about dishonest, misleading or otherwise nefarious dealers.I highly advise all Amazon buyers to always read the negative reviews. In this case especially, read the three other negative reviews.This item is not new!Just like the others there are clear signs of significant use and abuse. Further the battery does not last anywhere near the published battery life, leading me to believe that it too is used.The earphone itself work fine.It installed on my Windoze 7 notebook perfectly and works just like it should with Skype (which is what I really bought it for).I haven't yet tried it with my cell phone but expect it will work great there too.If the current charge on the battery doesn't meet the published battery life this one will be sent back but I will buy the same make and model from another vendor.

1Not as described - move on

Learn from my mistake and the other reviewers! Don't let the $30 price difference entice you to purchase from this seller. Product was not new. Obvious signs of use: scratches around charging port, plus the only button on the device had no physical play left. I can't *press* the button to connect the call.I bought this to replace the same exact product that worked flawlessly until I ran it through the wash. :-( So I know how the ERA is supposed to work. And this one doesn't work as well as my last one.I think you're gambling if you buy from this seller. You could get a dud, you could get a half working product, or you could come out OK. I don't think it's worth the trouble. Just buy from Amazon directly. $30 is worth the guarantee.
