get the plantronics

The first set didn't work at all. The company was good about doing an RMA. The second set lasted less than an hour and then the noise in the microphone was horrible. I threw them away and got the plantronics.

Good, but I wanted more

I bought this headset to work with my CISCO phone at work. I'm in cubicle hell and wanted to block noise and have hands free. This headset does a decent job. I plugged it in the back of the phone and it worked right away.The sound quality is excellent and there is even a reasonable amount of blocking of outside noise. (Maybe a 10 decibel block.) The microphone and arm adjustment are very good. But the headset itself is a bit flimsy. Also the workmanship disappointed me. One of the earpieces arrived detached (I fixed it) and I realized that the wires were installed with a twist so the Y yoke did not lie flat. Also, I realized that I need even better sound blocking, so I am trading up to the much more expensive Plantronics SHR2083-01 ($180.)This $35 headset encouraged me enough to realize the $180 set would be well worth the money. If you just want a good headset for limited use, then this unit will be fine. If you are on the phone all day, in a loud environment, treat yourself to the Plantronics SHR2083-01. Your sanity is worth it.

Great Headset.....a little messy on the hair.

The head set worked really well. I had no problems with connectivity and the audio was clear. I could hear them, they could hear me....however, given the nature of my job, my hair must look presentable at any given moment so the over the head feature put a damper on this lovely head set.
