Works as Advertised

We bought the Gigaset One because we are selling our home and use our cell phone as the main contact number. However, when in the house we don't always have the phone in our pockets. The Gigaset One works as advertised. The phone BlueTooth links up as soon as I walk in the front door (about 20 feet away) and will ring the phone from that distance, but you have to be within about 3 feet to actually talk and have a clear conversation. One drawback is that when you answer the cell phone with your home phone through the Gigaset One, there is a delay. We find ourselves saying "hello?, hello?, hello?" three for four times before the party on the other end can hear us. We know now to just wait about five seconds after picking up before saying "hello". Overall, we are happy with it as it does what we need it to do. We keep the cell phones only one foot from the Gigaset One and get clear calls. It would be nice if it did not have the delay, but that is a small inconvenience. We are using LG Sentio Cell Phones.

Excellent product in the needed situation.

I do not have a land line in my home, which is in a semi rural area. My mobile phone reception is fine in one room at the North side of my house. In other rooms it is spotty, and will not work at all in the basement. In many cases I have to walk outside to be able to use my mobile phone. The Gigaset One is perfect for my situation. I placed it in the room that gets the best mobile signal. Then I synched my mobile phone and my wife's to it, exaclty the way you would synch a bluetooth device. You activate bluetooth on the mobile phone, it searches and then connects automatically with the Gigset. It could not be easier. Next I plugged a land line phone into the jack on the Gigaset. When I activated the handset, I immediately heard a dial tone. When I come home at night I place my mobile phone next to the Gigaset (and leave it there) and it automatically conncets. Now we keep the portable handset in the living room with us. When a call comes into a mobile phone the handset rings. When a call is taken, we now can walk anywhere in the house and talk, even in the basement. The Gigaset was an excellent purchase, and we use it every day.

Excellent Product

Good bye land lines. It has become too expensive to pay for both a cell phone and land line. This neat little gadget will pay for itself. It also solves the problem of never being in the same room as your cell when it rings. Hook up was very easy and the product does exactly what it claims. I have a Nokia phone and the reception with this device is crystal clear. I wish I had discovered it a year ago.
