Phone is a LIFE SAVER!!!

Bought three (3) phones for Christmas gifts; dad, in-laws and uncle which are all hard of hearing. This phone has made a remarkable difference in our conversations. No more "shouting" from my end of the phone and no more "I can't hear you" from their end of the phone! Whoo-hoo!!! The only negative is lightening struck my in-laws phone a few days after they got it so I had to order another one just like it! Be soooo glad when it arrives!I highly recommend this phone....it is a jewel for those who are hard of hearing.

GE Amplified phone really helps hearing

This phone changed conversations from unpleasant to pleasant.We interchange between the speaker phone and the normal hand setdepending on our preference. Both work very well.We used the amplify button for soft voices, but some voices are even loud enough without it. We love the phone.

speaker phone volume so low it was barely audible!

I was very displeased with this phone, purchased ONLY for the supposedly "EXTRA LOUD, AMPLIFIED speaker phone volume as well as handset volume. Speaker phone volume was barely audible from 6" away for a non-hearing impaired person...impossible to hear anything from it at all for my hearing impaired father. Headset volume like any other phone....NOT amplified in the least. Useless, therefore, for our purposes.I will give the seller credit though in that they made the return process easy and promptly credited back to me my entire purchase price plus shipping charges.
