Not Great Phone

While the price is reasonable for the basics and a few more gadgets on this phone, it is an inferior product. Biggest problem is the static on the line -- which is definitely the phone, and not the telephone line. Also, no backlite for lcd readings, so not easy to see who's calling during during the night. Buttons are big, which was a good feature for my mom; features easy to program and use; compact size. Overall, inferior due to the static on the line.

I was looking for a corded wall phone. I ordered this one. It does not have a lighted background, which I did not realize until I got it hooked up and it rang for the first time. I am not able to see who is calling easily. You must turn on the overhead light and then focus. I would not buy this again.

GE big button phone with answering machine

Big buttons are easy to see, answering machine functions appear pretty user friendly.The display could be larger, or have better contrast for those who don't see well.The display characters are relatively small and are black on a clear background..The sound, although not an amplified phone, was able to be adjusted to a high volume.As a gift to an aging parent with decreased sight and hearing, the phone seems to bea good value that serves the purpose.
